My EMI Experience with Bajaj Finserv at Vasanth & Co Expo

Back in March 2025, I attended the Vasanth and Co Expo in Chennai. I had no plans to make a big purchase, but as I browsed, I ended up selecting a water purifier, mixer grinder, and an air fryer. That’s when I came across Bajaj Finserv’s EMI option at the stall.

How I Got the Bajaj Finserv EMI Card

At the expo, a representative from Bajaj Finserv explained how I could convert my purchase into monthly installments. I didn’t have the EMI card at the time, but they helped me apply right there.

I submitted my documents and paid ₹600 as a joining fee. The process was quick, and within a few minutes, I had my EMI card activated - ready to use.

Appliances Purchased and Loan Setup

Among the items I purchased, the water purifier worth ₹16,200 was the one I converted to EMI using the card. The best part? 0% interest on the loan!

  • Loan Amount: ₹16,200
  • Tenure: 8 months
  • Monthly EMI: ₹2,025
  • 1st EMI with Convenience Fee: ₹2,325 (₹2,025 + ₹300 fee)
  • Loan Start Date: 19th March 2025
  • First EMI Due: 2nd April 2025
  • Loan Partner: Bajaj Finance Limited
  • Dealer: Vasanth & Co, Chennai
  • Bank Account Linked: HDFC Bank (xxxxxx3526)

According to the repayment schedule, I have a total of 8 EMIs, each ₹2,025. I’ve already paid the first three installments on time.

Statement of Account

My loan is active and currently, I’ve repaid ₹6,075. The outstanding balance is ₹10,125, with five installments remaining. Here’s a snapshot from my account:

EMI Reminder and Payment Tracking

Before every due date, I receive an official email and app notification. The first EMI reminder mentioned a due amount of ₹2,325 (₹2,025 EMI + ₹300 fee):

This reminder system really helps avoid delays and late fees. Also, the Bajaj Finserv App is useful for checking balances, future dues, and downloading documents like the Statement of Account or Repayment Schedule.

What I Liked About Bajaj Finserv

  • Quick EMI card activation at the expo
  • Zero percent interest on consumer durable loans
  • No upfront charges or hidden fees
  • Easy-to-understand EMI schedule and reminders
  • Simple app interface to download loan-related documents

Would I Recommend It?

Definitely! If you’re someone like me who prefers flexible payment options, the Bajaj Finserv EMI Card is worth considering. Whether you're at a showroom or online, it offers instant credit for eligible purchases.

Note: Always read your EMI schedule carefully. For example, mine showed no interest charges, but included a one-time ₹300 convenience fee with the first EMI. It’s fully transparent.
